Makerspace.hu is a makerspace initiated by the Hungarian Scout Association to promote learning-by-doing and learning-by-making education in Hungary.
Our makerspace is located on the outskirts of the capital, Budapest at Nagykovácsi, a nice little suburb with scenic view and athmospere. The facitlity itself is 700 square meter (7500 square feet) and will open on February 2016. The inventory of makerspace.hu will feature most modern fabrication machines for example CNC mills, 3D printers and a laser cutter. More traditional machines for woodworking, metalworking, sewing or electronics and any other maker activity will be available.
Makerspace.hu will offer courses in basic machine handling, 3D design and manufacturing, and also based around objects our visitors would like to build.
During our current stage of development, we are looking for local and international partners, to establish a network of maker oriented space on the Central-Eastern European area.
We are also a open makerspace where anyone are welcome to make whatever they like for a membership fee. Also, we sell basic maker hardware kits, offer various events, do prototyping courses and help with consulting and advices for entrepreneurs.
We are looking for international partners for:
